From brand launch to AI-powered market leader, Branderity has been there for every chapter.
In one of the most competitive and male-dominated industries in the country, three senior GovCon executives stepped out of corporate, bet on themselves, and built a $2M consultancy from scratch — on referrals alone, without a single dollar of outside funding.
BTW & Co. — Bullard, Thomas, Watson & Company — was founded on a conviction that the federal contracting market needed something it didn’t have: a consultancy with the practitioner depth to win and the systems discipline to help clients win sustainably. The three principals behind the firm had personally shepherded over $5 billion in contract wins and 4,500+ proposals. They knew exactly what was missing. So they built it.
Building the Brand
We started where we always start — with strategy. Who are you, who are you for, and what makes you undeniably different? In BTW’s case, the answers were clear. Three women building a lean, deliberate, unapologetic firm in a space that hadn’t made room for them. The brand had to carry all of that — clean, confident, and credible enough to walk into any boardroom, while unmistakably theirs.
The visual identity was built around a concept as purposeful as the firm itself. Bridges — a symbol of building, connecting, and moving forward — became the visual anchor of the brand. The nod was deliberate and layered: bridges as metaphor for what BTW does for its clients, bridging the gap between where they are and where they need to be in the federal market. And bridges as a quiet acknowledgment of place — the iconic spans of the DC area that frame the landscape of the federal market BTW was built to serve.
The color palette was grounded in nature — earthy, warm, and rooted — with fresh, lively accents that gave the brand energy and personality without sacrificing credibility. Not the navy-and-gray of a traditional GovCon firm. Something more alive. Something that felt like the founders themselves.
The typography was chosen with equal intention — a brand font with modern but rounded lines that balanced professionalism with approachability. Clean and contemporary without being cold. Polished without being stiff. Every typographic choice reinforced the same message the rest of the brand was sending: this is a firm that takes its work seriously and its people even more so.

A Website That Feels Nothing Like a GovCon Website
Then came the website — and the same creative conviction that shaped the brand carried through to every pixel of it.
The BTW site was built on ShowIt — a platform chosen specifically for the creative flexibility it offered. The site was designed to feel fresh, warm, and distinctly human — with generous white space, bold typography, and a visual rhythm that gave the content room to breathe. The nature-grounded color palette flowed through every page, reinforced by photography and imagery choices that felt alive rather than stock. The brand’s bridge imagery wove through the design as a recurring visual thread, subtle enough to feel considered, present enough to feel intentional.
The result was a site that stopped visitors in their tracks — not because it was flashy, but because it felt genuinely different. In a sea of interchangeable GovCon websites, BTW’s digital presence announced itself immediately as something worth paying attention to.
Branderity also developed the full sales enablement collateral suite — decks, one-pagers, and client-facing materials — that supported BTW’s BD conversations and positioned the firm competitively in every room they walked into.
A Partnership That Keeps Getting Deeper
As BTW grew, evolved, and led the industry into the future of AI-powered proposal response, Branderity evolved with them. We adapted the brand and communications strategy in real time as the business grew — through federal market disruption, government shutdowns, and a complete evolution in how BTW delivered value to its clients. When the market shifted, we shifted with it. When the firm outgrew one chapter, we helped them write the next one.
When they developed WinBuilder CRM, WinPath™, and Bridge the Way™ AI Proposal Packages, Branderity built the messaging and market positioning that brought each new offering to life. When they became Platinum Partners with Procurement Sciences and took the stage at VisibleThread’s Customer Forum and Optimize25, the brand and communications infrastructure Branderity built was behind every impression they made.
Most recently we partnered on the development and launch of BTW’s online training program — building custom digital curricula, developing the promotional strategy, and executing a full go-to-market launch that extended BTW’s reach into a new and growing market.
Three years of collaboration. A firm that has grown, pivoted, and led its industry through one of its most disruptive periods. And a partnership that keeps getting deeper with every chapter.
